Winner of the 2020 Civvys Youth Award
Green Our Planet was awarded the 2020 Civvys Award in the Youth category on April 19, 2021.
Winner of a 2019 Obama Foundation Fellowship
Green Our Planet co-founder Ciara Byrne was selected as a 2019 Obama Foundation Fellow. As one of 20 leaders selected from 5,000 applicants from around the world, Ciara joined a 2-year program that brings together leaders who are addressing some of the world’s most pressing issues. Winner of the “Compassionate Heroes” Award
Green Our Planet co-founders Kim MacQuarrie and Ciara Byrne won the 2016 Compassionate Heroes Award for “their commitment to a more compassionate community.” The award was presented by Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn Goodman on behalf of Compassionate Cities.
Winner of the Las Vegas 2015 Tech Woman of the Year Award
Ciara Byrne, co-CEO of Green Our Planet, was awarded the “Tech Woman of the Year Award” by Girls in Tech, Hi-Tech Vegas and Women-Advancing Las Vegas.
Winner of the 2015 Consumer Electronic Association’s “Best Green Organization”
Green Our Planet won the Consumer Electronic Association’s top grant in 2015 and additional grants in 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019.
Winner of USGBC’s Best Community Organization
Green Our Planet won the US Green Building Council of Southern Nevada Best Community Organization of the Year in 2014.
Winner of the Public Health Hero of the Year
