Aaliyah DiMarco

Aaliyah combines horticulture expertise with a love of teaching in her role as Outdoor Garden Specialist, coaching educators, leading curriculum lessons and workshops, and helping schools keep their outdoor gardens and hydroponic systems healthy and thriving.

One of Aaliyah’s proudest accomplishments was leading an initiative that reactivated 20 school gardens in just a few months. Beyond bringing the gardens themselves back to life, the project gave her the opportunity to build lasting relationships with teachers—one of her favorite parts of the work. She also supports school onboarding, student farmers markets, and garden tours that connect educators, students, and community leaders with Green Our Planet’s programs.

Before joining Green Our Planet, Aaliyah served as Horticulture Manager at Merakey School District, where a favorite project was designing a pollinator garden and monarch waystation for a school and residential program serving people with special needs.

Outside of work, Aaliyah enjoys fishing, hiking, cooking, and spending time with family. She’s also an enthusiastic entomology fan who appreciates all kinds of creepy garden crawlers—and hoppers, with frogs holding the top spot as her favorite animal.
