Sara Worrell

Sara joined Green Our Planet in 2025 as Training, Onboarding & Standards Lead, bringing years of hands-on farming experience and a genuine love of growing and teaching others. From seeding and harvesting to garden clean-ups and irrigation troubleshooting, she helps keep school gardens healthy, productive, and thriving in the local climate.

Sara is dedicated to seeing a job through to the finish line. She takes particular pride in a delivering improved harvests and has been known to circle back to a school—even after her workday is technically done—to make sure a garden issue gets resolved.

Before joining Green Our Planet, Sara spent five years as Lead Farm Hand at Calvada Gardens, where one of her favorite projects was transforming empty school garden beds into productive gardens and watching them progress from first planting to successful harvest.

One thing not a lot of people know about Sara: she spent more than a decade lending her dulcet tones to local bands.
