Volunteer to Help Build a Garden
School Garden Build volunteers bring the garden to life at schools!
Click here to sign up to volunteer at a School Garden Build.
As a volunteer you can help build raised brick garden beds, spread mulch, soil, and gravel, plant trees, connect irrigation lines, and more!
Garden builds are open to all ages and are great for individuals and large groups!
We are looking for volunteers to help build a teaching garden!
Come join us and make a difference at a school!
Thank you so much for your interest in volunteering to build school gardens! We will build brick garden beds, spread mulch, soil, and gravel, plant trees, and more! No gardening or teaching experience is required.
We will meet at the build site on school grounds. It should be very obvious with already-built brick beds, big piles of gravel and soil. You can either park nearby on the street, if it looks like there is an open gate, or in the school parking lot. The school will provide volunteers as well, so usually a gate or the office will be open.
Each volunteer will need to sign a waiver at the build. Volunteers under 18 must have a parent or guardian sign for them. All ages are welcome! Volunteers under 15 must have an adult present.
Be sure to bring water and wear closed toe shoes, sun protection, and work clothes. We will provide gloves and tools. Any changes will be emailed out prior to the build!
The next Garden Build Events will be scheduled for later this year.
Please check this page for updates. Thanks!
